Dear Readers

The fact that I was totally unaware of the changes in blogspot and have have no idea where everything is anymore tells me that I haven't written in a long time...

Well, if you're interested, let me update you on a few things that have been going on in my life since my last blogpost:

- I have obviously started uni. I had always thought that going to the University of Sydney was a no brainer. From the Harry Potter looking castles to the wide open space, Usyd was always going to be THE university. Going to the University of New South Wales however was never on the radar. I mean, would you rather a close, compact, restricted environment? Or the wide, flowy and free environment you get at usyd? It's a no brainer right??? The first week of UNSW proved to be a challenge. In fact, I hated it. I have always been familiar with the Usyd campus! Heck, I even did work experience there! In the third week of uni, I decided to catch up with an old friend LP at Usyd and I felt miserable when I got there. I should have been the person sitting on the awesome looking curved benches, or sitting on the luscious looking green lawn. But no.

However nine weeks into being at UNSW has made me appreciate it. Walking from one end of the campus to the other only takes fifteen minutes tops at UNSW whereas I've heard that it takes thirty minutes at usyd! The bus rides from central aren't THAT bad and the people at UNSW generally seem genuinely nice! Besides, the commerce course at UNSW is hailed as being the best in NSW.

So between comparing UNSW to Usyd, I've been busy with work. At least in high school, the assessments and assignments don't actually count (apart from in year 12) so in hindsight, I feel like a fool after stressing and stressing over the silly geometry topic test in maths or the in-class essays for English. So since everything counts, life has been pretty hectic from reading... and re-reading review analysis to making sure I know everything about supply and demand. (In case you've forgotten, I'm studying arts/commerce). I actually feel pretty organised. My aim has been to finish assignments at least a week before they're due! Lately though, I seem to finishing off assignments three weeks in advance (and yes, I feel like a nerd)!! There's something about the satisfaction of been stress-free when everyone else around you seem to frantically stressing and trying to finish it.

- In between assignment and uni, I've been working, mostly just on the weekends. The cafe has been pretty chilled the past couple of weeks, apart from the random day when a busload of customers just happen to decide to come in at the same time... and THEN it gets frantic!

- I've recently discovered an awesome series of books by Stephen Clarke. His comedy novels titled the "Merde series" are about a British guy living in France. It is absolutely hilarious, especially with the political & French humour! It's quite a light read and generally takes the stress off everyday life! It's the first series of books that I have actually "gotten into" since the Twilight series which is sad seeing as the Twilight novels aren't that great anyway. Why were we so obsessed with them???????

- And the last thing on the agenda: I am 80% sure I'll be going to America in November!!! A dream of mine ever since I was seven years old!! According to mum (it'll only be the two of us), we'll be going to New York (only because I insist!), San Francisco and San Diego! I am "uber" excited so if you have any cool places we should be going within those cities, feel free to comment below!!!!

In the mean time, I have to start studying for a microeconomics test work 20% for Monday. Wish me luck!!
